Maths tip and trick - Multiplication by 4

Multiply by 4
2 X 2 = 4
Therefore, we can multiply any number by 4 by doubling in and then again doubling the answer.
Suppose, an X 4 =?
2a => 2(2a)
let it be 35 X 4 = ?
Doubling 35 = 70
Again Doubling 70 = 140.
Hence 35 X 4 = 140.
